Welcome to TRIPET TEA
Extra premium organic loose leaf tea.
Tripet Tea comes from one particular USDA and Euro certified organic plantation and processing plant which sits 1800m above sea level, located in Nepal's Ilam District. Teas from the Sakhejung area are revered because they are produced from teenage bushes that endure the onslought of harsh Himalayan weather. With only 3 to 4 hours of sunlight daily, the Camellia Sinensis plants here endure rain, fog and winds to produced the locally respected bud and leaf.
Monkey Tea
The Camellia Sinensis plant is ususally tended into a bush, but when its allowed to scrape the Himalayan Clouds, you get ancient trees. Our 40 to 50 year old trees are 7 to 10mts tall. Harvesters have to swing from branch to branch like monkeys, well not anymore since the invention of cranes. Only the bud is harvested to create a SUPER OPULENT tea. The buds from our two Monkey Teas are handrolled to create needles or gold rings.
The Oolong and White Tea
Our white tea is a cut above the rest, it is made form the bud and only the first leaf from teenage bushes that thrive amidst the unforgiving Himalayan weather. It rains, gets engulfed in fog and beaten by the winds daily, but through the brief space of sunlight it gifts us these chrismatic buds that are so empowering.
Oolong is traditionally a Taiwanese tea, our USDA and EURO certified farm in Nepal was the first to produce it in the region. It carries the satiyfying taste that comes from the resilient teenage Camelia Sinensis bushes which grow at 1800mts up here the Himalayas. Only the bud and two leaves are used.
Orthodox Teas
Our Orthodox teas, The Black, Green and Black Greenish are of the highest grade, SFTGFOP1. The bud and two leaves are used to produce this extra premium grade. Coming form teenage bushes, these Camellia Sinensis plants are reknowed as they grow at an altitude of 1800mts above sea level. Eduring harsh Himalayan weather of just 3 to 4 hours of sunlight and battered by the rain, fog and wind it produces a unique taste that you will crave for.
